As promotions roll along for The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 1, BTS remains constantly on the go. Over the summer they have a number of outdoor fan meetings and mini performances, and are still traveling all over, including to the U.S. for the extension of the “Red Bullet” concert tour. As they move into fall, not only are they appearing on tons of variety and interview programs, but they’re getting into the groove of their own show, Run BTS!

As we start our journey into The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 1 we’ll watch BTS step boldly into the next phase of their career. They’ll tackle even more taboo topics in their music than they’d ever covered before. We’ll officially see the beginning of the Bangtan Universe (the BU) storyline which will link most of their music, videos, and promotional material together moving forward. Their focus will shift to more emotional storytelling, all while reminding us that they never stop working hard for what they want—that they are… kind of ‘dope’.

Rolling into 2015, we continue on with DARK & WILD, but this week feels like we’re leaving the ‘dark’ behind and focusing more on the ‘wild’. And remember how they might have broken up with us last week? Hmmm… seems like now they want us back, and they’ll pull out all the stops to make it happen.

A new relationship can be a heady experience. Every emotion (good or bad) seems to be amplified. During SKOOL LUV AFFAIR, BTS wooed us. We floated away on the notes of “Just One Day” and fell in love. But what happens after that; what happens when school is over and fantasy becomes reality? You get DARK & WILD—an older, more complicated look at romance than what we saw from SLA.

The flirting continues! And so does the fun. We explore the rest of SKOOL LUV AFFAIR, including BTS SUGA’s produced track, “Jump,” which is also now V’s forever theme song. We’ll see more backstage antics this week, as well as BTS getting to know their fans a lot better with their first fansign in China (on the heels of winning “Rookie of the Year” there as well) and the very first ARMY Muster (Fan Club Concert)! We start to see increased airport crowds and large groups of screaming fans everywhere they go… BTS is getting bigger and bigger.

Nothing would deter BTS as they released their next album, SKOOL LUV AFFAIR, which was the last part of their “School Trilogy.” They were determined to warm hearts and make ARMY fall in love with them. 2 COOL 4 SKOOL and O!RUL8,2? had focused on the concepts of dreams and happiness respectively. SKOOL LUV AFFAIR would tackle an even more complex topic: young love.

As 2013 was drawing to a close, the members of Bangtan Sonyeondan were deep into promotions for O!RUL8,2? and preparing for their first Christmas together and with ARMY. BTS had been putting in long hours in the music and dance studios, and even though they were from a small company, their steady rise in popularity wasn’t going unnoticed by the industry.

With the whirlwind of Debut behind them, it would have been understandable if BTS decided to take a moment to stop and bask in the glow of what they accomplished. Instead, they continued running and released O!RUL8,2?.

Rap Monster, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and JungKook all wanted love and affirmation from their fans. We’ll explore how that drove them forward, despite their worries that didn’t disappear after Debut Day. In fact, BTS became very good at being able to pull everyone in with their boundless energy, charisma, and enthusiasm, in spite of their nerves.
