Why Are the Weverse Shop Global Prices Lower?

While the base prices on the Global Shop appear significantly lower, it is important to remember that Global prices are listed do not include international shipping fees, local taxes, and potential tariffs/customs fees. Weverse Shop Global ships direct from South Korea and Weverse Shop USA ships from within the USA. You can confirm this with the small “ships from” notes on each product listing near the title.

In most cases, the higher base price on the USA Shop accounts for the cost of importing the items in bulk to US warehouses. Conversely, while the Global Shop items have lower bases prices, but international shipping rates from South Korea are often much higher. Ultimately, once you reach the checkout screen, the total prices for ARMY in the US are usually very similar regardless of which shop you choose.

What Does the BTS Official Light Stick Ver. 4 Look Like?

What’s New with VER. 4?

The VER. 4 isn't just a cosmetic upgrade; it’s a total overhaul of how the light stick interacts with the concert environment.

  • Subdivided Lighting Zones: Unlike previous versions, the VER. 4 globe is divided into multiple internal LED zones. This allows for complex color gradients and "moving" light effects across a single light stick. (We suspect this is why the lighting design cannot support older light stick versions from Festa 2026 and forward.)

  • Enhanced Wireless Control: The new system features a refined data processing method that expands the range of displayable colors and creates smoother transitions coordinated with stage lighting.

  • Pairing Confidence: A new pre-show feature allows your light stick to light up in sync with those nearby before the concert starts, giving you visual confirmation that you are successfully paired to the venue signal.

  • New App: The updated app includes a venue map to find pairing booths, a "Concert History" log to track which shows you've attended, and "Self Mode" so you can use it as a mood lamp at home.

  • Color Shaking: You can now change colors randomly in "Self Mode" simply by shaking the device.

Did They Say Accessories?!

For the first time, the ARMY Bomb Light Stick is part of a modular system. These accessories are sold separately:

  • The Cradle: To use your ARMY Bomb as a home decor piece, the optional Cradle transforms it into a mood lamp. The Cradle features a USB-C port that provides power for "Self Mode" at home, but the light stick itself still requires batteries for portable use.

  • Interchangeable Parts: To further personalize your ARMY Bomb, you can purchase includes interchangeable parts featuring the BTS and ARMY logos that can be swapped onto the top of the globe.

  • Yet to Come?: Might we see more swappable parts released in the future to commemorate albums or milestones?

The Battery Question: Is it Rechargeable?

Are We Finally Moving Away from Disposable Batteries?

Based on the official product listings, no. The new VER. 4 ARMY Bomb will ship with a standard tray requiring three AAA batteries. None of the notices or listings explicitly confirm that the Light Stick will be compatible with the HYBE Official Rechargeable Battery, however we suspect it will be. Keep in mind that shipping for the rechargeable battery may be restricted in certain regions due to safety regulations.

Why Not Built-In Rechargeable?

While a built-in lithium-ion core is a frequent request, keeping the rechargeable element optional is a strategic choice. Because airlines and some concert venues have limitations on lithium-ion batteries, a removable battery tray offers a safer and more flexible setup. This ensures that traveling ARMY can comply with safety regulations while still having the choice to go rechargeable when at home or traveling by land.

The ‘Sunset’ Date for Older BTS Light Stick Versions

It is important to note that a transition period is coming. If you plan on attending BTS concerts in the second half of 2026, you will need the VER. 4 to participate in the synchronized light show.

  • Until May 28, 2026 (Las Vegas): VER. 3, SE, and VER. 4 will all support wireless control.

  • From June 12, 2026 (Busan) onwards: Wireless control will only be supported on VER. 4.

While the new technology is exciting, we want to make one thing clear—prior versions of the ARMY Bomb, including the Special Edition (SE), will still glow! The main difference is that they will no longer sync with the concert lighting system. Seeing a mix of light stick versions is very common at concerts, so please don’t feel pressured or embarrassed if you aren’t able to secure a VER. 4 in time for your show.

ARMY Bomb Light Stick FAQs

  • A: Inside the sleek black packaging, you will find:

    • The Light Stick: The newly redesigned Ver. 4 device.

    • Dust Bag: A protective fabric pouch to keep your light stick safe from scratches when not in use.

    • Strap: A branded hand strap to prevent the light stick from falling during high-energy concert moments.

    • Instant Photo Set: A special collection of "instant-style" member photos (photocards) unique to this version.

    • Product Manual

  • A: We strongly recommend buying only through Weverse Shop, Target, or official concert merch booths. We do not recommend buying from resellers on eBay or Amazon. These are often counterfeit and will not sync with the wireless systems at the venue, meaning your light stick won't change colors with the rest of the ARMY.

  • A: Don’t panic! You can buy your light stick at the concert venue. They usually have plenty of stock.

VIP Perk: If you know someone with a VIP ticket, they have early access to merch and a separate line—ask if they can pick one up for you!

  • A: You can use it as a collectible or in "Self Mode," but it will no longer sync with the wireless concert lighting design for any concerts held after June 12, 2026.
